A Jersey Cow-- I love their faces and I have always wanted to give at least one cow a humane life, but my Jersey would need a buddy!
A mini Zebu!
For the equines I would need a..

Warmblood Mule because I have always wanted to see what the differences are for training, and I would just look so cool!
A Welsh Cob-- because they are like Haflingers only they come in more colors, are even more baroque and have amazing action!
And the dressage romantic in me would really like a Spanish breed of some sort like a Lusitano.

I would have plenty of chickens too as I love chickens esspecially fluffy ones such as silky cochin chicken!
I really enjoy sight hounds but love to rescue so my next dog may be a Grey hound especially since I would be living on a farm!
This is my dream farm inhabitants. What are yours?
I've never had a greyhound, but the ones I have known have been lovely dogs.
ReplyDeleteI really want to get some chickens. My family is less keen on the idea, especially since we live in the city.
I would love a mule! I also think I'd enjoy a few goats and maybe a cow or two.
Mary
Ah yes goats for sure. Chickens are fun to clicker train and so very friendly if you raise them from chicks. I also just find them endlessly entertaining but I think I am easy to amuse...
ReplyDeleteOoooo, I ♥ cows! I have always had a special place in my heart for cows (part of the reason I became a vegetarian as a kid). To this day, every time I take a road trip, I'm all, "Ooooooo, coooows! Cows with hoooooorns! Aaawwww, lying-doooown cooooows! BABY COWS!!!"
ReplyDeleteSo, um, I would have some cows, a few goats (probably Nigerean dwarf goats), a few TBs, a warmblood, and an ex-PMU horse. Of course, plenty of cats, plus a Bouvier des Flandres and a Catahoula.
I would like to rescue a PMU as well. My trainer has a PMU foal and he is awesome! I have a catahoula! Her name is stella and she is the love of my life.
ReplyDeleteI love Jersey's too. I used to milk some in college. And I actually have three polish chickens, one blue and two black. They are fluffy funny looking things. :)
ReplyDeleteChickens are horribly addicting so many colors, shapes, and sizes "_
Happy to see mules on your list -- I would also like goats.
