I have a new post in the cooker right now but for now I would like to share the url to a new blog I am co authoring.
Ethical Eats
Our plan is to share our insights on the ins and outs as our lives as vegans.
I am expecting some fun (and easy!) recipes, reading recommendations, humor, and ideas on how to make your lifestyle more sustainable even if for one meal. If you have ever wanted to poke a vegan, or ask "What in the heck does a vegan eat anyways?" Come on by! We are happy to educate and I really hope we can entertain as well.
I would love to hear about what my blogger friends think about the new blog!
AWESOME ! I just followed your blog and am a vegan ! yay !
ReplyDeleteHave just visited and I am looking forward to being educated. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a vegan, but I'll be interested in what you have to say!
ReplyDeleteUM SO COOL!!! Although im not vegan or vegetrian, I eat a lot of foods that are. I would love to try some recipes!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Rachel A! (since we already have on Rachel)
ReplyDeleteI am glad that it sounds like an interesting topic to some of you! I hope I can share some tasty ideas and have some interesting conversations related to the ethics of eating. Should be fun!
Congrats on the new Ethical Eats blog...I am a vegan too! I can totally relate to the "Ummm what do you eat?" question!!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever read the book "The Vegetarian's Survival Guide to Living With Meat Eaters" by Carol Adams? She is a vegan feminist who lives in, of all places, Dallas, Texas. It's a great read....very humorous, and right along these lines.
She also wrote a more well-known book called "The Sexual Politics of Meat" in which she discusses some of the cultural nitty-grittys surrounding the vegetarian vs. meat-eater conundrums.
A book review on your new blog, perhaps? Just an idea! keep up the good work.
Oh wow that book does sound right up my alley! I will have to read it! It does sound perfectly matched for our theme. If you are interested in ever writing anything, like a review or just an entry we would love to have you! Let me know if you are ever interested!
ReplyDeleteI'm a vegan too!! Can't wait for the updates! :)
ReplyDeleteSeeing all these vegans really boosts my spirits! Whoo hoo!
ReplyDeleteThe vegan club where I went to college gave us several free jars of peanut butter one year. From the Peanut Butter Company (http://ilovepeanutbutter.com/). Since then, the only peanut butter I buy! And I am very thankful to them to this day.
ReplyDeleteI lived with some vegans for awhile. They were great cooks and shared some good recipes with me!
Thanks for sharing the link to your new blog, I'll have to check it out.
